The New York State Trappers Association has had the honor and privilege to host many fine conventions over the years. NYSTA's sate convention annually draws in well over a thousand people each year and continues to grow. This year the NYSTA got to show what its made of when the National Trappers Association asked if they could host their North-East convention at The Herkimer Fairgrounds in Frankfort NY. It turned out to be not only the best NE convention ever, but the biggest regional convention ever. So for the second year in a row the NYSTA will be hosting the NTA NE Regional Convention right here in Herkimer. We hope to see you all there!

The National Trappers Association has held a North-East convention for the past 3 years. It was located in Maryland for the first two years and then this year we got our turn. Not only was the 2007 the largest NE convention ever, but it was also the largest regional convention ever! The NTA was so pleased by what they saw they asked if they could hold it here again next year. Thank you to all the volunteers, vendors, tailgaters, the fairgrounds, their staff, and the attendees for making a lasting impression upon the NTA North-East Regional Convention.
