Eligibility Requirements

1. Applicant must be a member or have a family member in good standing in the NYS Trappers Association at the time of application.
2. Applicant must present a short essay to the committee to be considered, stating what type of courses they are enrolled in.
3. Documentation listing any and all community involvement must be included.
4. Application must include a list of reasons explaining why they should be considered.
5. The applicant must include two letters of recommendation; one from their teacher, and one other character reference.
6. When selected, payment in the amount of $500.00 will be paid at the start of the second semester upon receipt by NYSTA of verification of enrollment, provided the student has an acceptable grade of C or higher.
7. This scholarship will be paid directly to the College the applicant is attending.
